The product's name originates from the African devil's claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) due to the striking appearance of its fruits. Its well-known powers, which are particularly valued amongst dog- and horse-owners, are however contained in the roots of the plant.
The main constituents are harpagoside, which is a bitter substance, flavonoids, phytosterols and cinnamic acid. This nutrient complex supports the metabolism of joints, tendons and muscles and maintains the animal's mobility and well-being. In addition, the bitter substances contained promote the distribution of digestive juices and therefore the digestive functions.
Feed recommendation per day:
Large horses (600 kg LG) 24 g (approx. 4 tablespoons), smaller breeds and ponies 18 g (approx. 3 tablespoons). Dogs (per 10 kg) 1 - 2 g ( approx.. ½ teaspoon). Add to feed.

Analytical contents: Crude protein 3.8 %, crude fat 0.6 %, crude ash 19.2 %, crude fibre 10.1 %.
Notes: In accordance with the anti-doping and medication control rules laid down by the Deutschen Reiterlichen Vereinigung (FN - German Riding Association), a withdrawal period (from the last use of the product until use at the show) of 96 hours is recommended for horses. Do not feed to puppies or pregnant bitches.
